The DAR plaque installed at the New Mexico state capitol in June of 2023 was what remained of the many attempts by the DAR chapter in Santa Fe, NM to capture the spirit of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment to the US Constitution in 2020. Because the COVID emergency resulted in many cancellations, other efforts were delayed. This is one example. Marguerite Kearns presented the video “Standing on the Shoulders” to the DAR Santa Fe  chapter in March of 2023. Tina Lusby was the regent, Elinor Ortiz, and others played important parts in the book, the NM suffrage history, and more.
