I’m taking stock of the disaster that’s developing with these family secrets. They go on and on, and I have the capacity to still say…I did the best I could and hope that the situation isn’t too bad. I find it hard to take when people speak from both sides of their mouths.

The outcome of what I imagined didn’t come true. So, what else is new? I had a writing teacher who once said that women had no politics. I disagreed until I rounded the corner and concluded: “She’s right.”
