A historical marker has been relocated from the boardwalk in Long Beach, NY to Northern Blvd. for reasons of size. This is the second marker installed on Long Island commemorating Edna Kearns’s suffrage organizing and her “Spirit of 1776” suffrage wagon. Robert F. Keeler of Stony Brook, NY represented granddaughter Marguerite Kearns at a marker dedication ceremony in 2020.
The women’s history networking conference of the Women’s History Alliance has been rescheduled to the fall of 2023.
