And March 2025— Women’s History Month is what we make it! Edna, Serena, and Wilmer Kearns are behind the changes in the family’s emphasis on justice and fairness in the kitchens and streets. The Kearns family is a “suffrage family.” They witness and understand the elements, and they’re proud of what has developed. They march. They smile and dial. They are consistent and determined!
They also realize that they must build on the past in order to prevent the urge to start all over again. They can’t ignore the past like many supporters are proposing now. Sure, we live in the present, but the past can be as close as a minute ago.
Just because something happened in the past doesn’t disqualify it as inappropriate and out of sorts. It may be dated. It also may not.
Don’t fall for easy solutions just because they’re available. Think first. Give your opinions enough time to season and gain momentum.
Suffrage Wagon News Channel has been publishing since 2009.
There are stories told by the opposition about women who are crazy, negative, and not too bright. These storytellers are diminished and criticized. Not all stories are good ones. There are stories that glorify patriarchy, for example. There are tales of those who gathered the evidence but were uniformed about what actually happened.
Celebrate every holiday, whether it’s official or not. Be determined. Be informed. This is a long fight, and patriarchy will dance its steps until it changes! Other women love the memorabilia—the events—the progress. We have made a dent. Let’s finish the job.
The small raven urges women to wake up and join others upset about injustice. Join us!
