Permanent Exhibit for “Spirit of 1776” suffrage wagon on Vimeo.
The centennial exhibition at the New York State Museum in Albany opened on November 5, 2017 with the “Spirit of 1776” wagon exhibited in the lobby of the museum greeting everyone who walked in the front door. The NYS Cultural Heritage Tourism Network hosted a conference on Saturday, November 4, during the day with Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul presenting the conference keynote speech. And the NYS League of Women Voters presented a reception that evening with Coline Jenkins presenting a personal view of being a descendant of suffrage activists going back to Elizabeth Cady Stanton. The museum exhibition is on view until May 2018.
Marguerite Kearns is host at the Suffrage Wagon Cafe.
