The midnight oil is still being burned to get the memoir by Marguerite Kearns close to the publication stage. Bess, Edna’s best friend, is part of the story. And in this video, Bess introduces herself.

The memoir lays out the tale of Marguerite growing up as the descendant of activists in the first wave of the US women’s rights movement. “There are millions of us out there,” according to Marguerite Kearns. “And many of us are in the forefront of writing American women into history.”
