This votes for women organizing was part of an intense 1915 campaign that had activists running from dawn to dusk for most of the year. Four states –New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New York– put the suffrage issue to the voters in 1915. And thousands of activists were busy doing what Edna Kearns is shown doing here: getting out in their communities and speaking to anyone who would listen.
